TrailRiders
TrailRider all-terrain wheelchairs are available at:
Visitors with mobility limitations can explore rough tracks and trails with a Trailrider. Our staff can advise on suitable tracks.
TrailRiders have adjustable seating and supports. They are suitable for adults and children. You can operate them with 2 or more reasonably fit helpers.
TrailRiders are free to hire. We recommend booking 1 week in advance via the relevant visitor centre.
Before heading out on the track users must:
TrailRiders disassemble and will fit in the back of most medium sized SUVs. This means users can access trailheads away from the visitor centres.
Assistance animals
You can bring Guide Dogs into national parks and reserves.
Please make sure you:
You must have an authority granted before you arrive with an assistance animal that is not a guide dog. Contact the relevant field centre before your visit to organise an authority.
