Rating : Medium - suitable for four-wheel drive vehicles only, with some boggy soils, rocks or sand. Some experience with off-road driving recommended.

Southport Lagoon Track is a very slow drive with extensive rocky sections​ and wet bogs after rain, but the reward at the end is worth it. 

Campfires are permitted in designated fire pots only.

There is a designated dinghy launch area across the beach at the basic camping area. Small dinghies (less than 14ft with a motor up to 15hp) must be carried across the beach. Jet-skis and larger boats are not per​​mitted on Southport Lagoon.
