Managing the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area

The Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area (TWWHA) was established to protect, conserve, present and pass on to future generations one of the world's outstanding wilderness areas. To ensure effective management of this region, the Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service has produced a range of documents and plans.

World Heritage Area Management Plan

The main document that guides management of the area is the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area Management Plan 2016. Available here is the full TWWHA Management Plan 2016, the plan's Executive Summary (PDF, 638KB), and its Frequently Asked Questions (PDF, 135KB).
