Good news, Hartz Mountain National Park and other tracks are open!


In time for Easter walking, PWS have been able to re-open a number of tracks.More

Mt Field National Park Visitor Centre and short walks open


PWS advises that the Mt Field National Park Visitor Centre and short walks will re-open at 9am today (Sunday 27 January 2019).

Please note: Waterfalls Café will not be open, so visitors will need to be self-sufficient.

Russell Falls, Horseshoe and Lady Baron Falls walks will be open to visitors.

However, all alpine walks and the campground remain closed until further notice.

Hastings Caves and Thermal Pools will also re-open today at 9am.

As fires under hot, dry and windy conditions can travel very fast, it’s important for visitors to stay informed in case conditions change.
