Good news, Hartz Mountain National Park and other tracks are open!

In time for Easter walking, PWS have been able to re-open a number of tracks.More

Additional track closures for the northern region - Saturday 26 January - 4pm

As PWS staff continue to monitor the fire situation, some additional tracks have now been closed in the Central Plateau Conservation Area and Walls of Jerusalem National Park until further notice.



For a complete list of track, area and campground closures please visit www.parks.tas.gov.au/closures 


 



PWS would like to remind everyone that the Mt Field National Park is closed today (Saturday 26 January 2019). We will re-assess the situation and provide an update tomorrow (Sunday 27 January 2019). 



Hastings Caves and Thermal Pools will re-open for business at 9am Sunday 27 January 2019.



The following sites are still being assessed by staff and PWS will provide an update once confirmed.


 



Echo Sugarloaf State Reserve
Echo Sugarloaf Track 



Snug Tiers Nature Recreation Area
Snug Falls Track
Pelverata Falls Track
Umfrevilles Track



Esperance River Conservation Area
Esperance River campground and day visitor area 


 



As fires under hot, dry and windy conditions can travel very fast, it’s important for visitors to stay informed in case conditions change.
