Good news, Hartz Mountain National Park and other tracks are open!


In time for Easter walking, PWS have been able to re-open a number of tracks.More

For public safety PWS advise the following tracks have now been closed until further notice due to the threat of fire.

Echo Sugarloaf State Reserve

  • Echo Sugarloaf Track

Snug Tiers Nature Recreation Area

  • Snug Fall Track

  • Pelverata Falls Track

  • Umfrevilles Track

PWS tracks in the Zeehan, Rosebery and Heemskirk Area 

  • Lake Cumberland Track

  • Mt Murchison Track

  • Climies Four wheel Drive Track (Trial Harbour-Granville Harbour)

Mountain Bike Trails Rosebery Area

  • Dundas Trail

Fires under hot, dry and windy conditions can travel very fast so it’s important for everyone to stay informed in case conditions change.
