About

While long and occasionally steep, this walk is accessible to capable and well-equipped walkers. The circuit can be walked in either direction, but the undoubted highlight is the view from the summit of Mount Rufus.

In clear weather numerous other mountains can be seen in every direction, including Mount Olympus, Mount Hugel and Frenchmans Cap.

During early summer the flowering of scoparia can be spectacular. With an altitude of 1416m, Mount Rufus is sometimes subject to severe weather.
