The Project remains in the planning and approvals stage. In the first quarter of 2026, the project aims to have all approvals in place to proceed to the procurement stage.
Construction is scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2027.

Winter 2025
The Project is currently progressing through the planning and approvals stage. In June 2025, a Planning Permit was issued for the project by Derwent Valley Council.
Environmental impact assessments are being finalised and the Project Team will complete the Detailed Design with engineers and other specialists as required.
Planning for construction works is underway and Tender documentation is being drafted.
