Dial Range Reserves Infrastructure Projects

​​​In 2024, the Tasmanian Government committed to developing unique experiences in the Dial Range Reserves near Penguin. Creating loop walks that provide a range of experiences for visitors from key trailheads is a priority. The loop walks will offer a variety of: 

  • features

  • difficulties

  • distances

$1.6 million is available to develop the loop walks and other unique experiences in the Dial Range Reserves including: 

  • Mt Montgomery loop waking track

  • All access boardwalk at Ferndene State Reserve

  • Mt Dial to Mt Gnomon circuit walking track

  • Resealing Mt Gnomon carpark​

Timeframes​​

The individual projects will be completed progressively over the four years. All projects are expected to be completed by 2028.
