Upgrades to Eddystone Point boat ramp

Find out more

The boat launching facilities at larapuna/Eddystone Point will receive a significant upgrade to the boat ramp, including the addition of a walkway.

In recent years, the boat launching and associated car parking area has been affected by heavy seas and poor drainage and required significant investment to improve the site.

The upgrades are part of the Tasmanian Government's $1,015,000 North East Parks and Reserves Upgrades project.

Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service (PWS) is working in partnership with Marine and Safety Tasmania (MAST) on the larapuna/Eddystone Point site with PWS committing $250,00 and MAST $270,000 to the already completed carpark and these boat ramp works.

Larapuna is a significant Aboriginal cultural landscape and popular day use area for locals and visitors alike who enjoy the history of the site, the lighthouse precinct and use the boat launching facilities.  ‚Äč
