The
draft concept plan for the Edge of the World visitor site is available for public feedback.
The
Edge of the World is an important cultural and recreational site where visitors can experience the windswept coastal landscape and the cleanest air in the world.
This $2.75 million project will deliver upgrades as well as revitalise and reimagine the site.
The proposed scope of works includes:
- Improved road access and parking facilities
- Enhanced walking opportunities
- Upgraded toilets, shelter and picnic facilities
- Interpretation about the importance of the site
The project aims to protect the site's significant Aboriginal cultural heritage and natural values, while also ensuring facilities and infrastructure can sustainably accommodate current and future use of the area.
The
draft concept plan is open for public feedback until 18 December 2025. Feedback can be
emailed to the project team and will help inform the final concept design for the site.
The project is expected to be completed in 2027.
