New registration system makes planning overnight treks a walk in the park

Find out more
Planning a multi-day Tasmanian wilderness adventure just got easier following the launch of a new walker registration system.

Tasmania is home to some of the most remarkable landscapes in the world, including the globally significant Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area.

Our multi-day walk offerings provide an unparalleled wilderness experience across the state's world-class parks and reserves.

The new registration system makes it even easier for locals and visitors alike to register their walk and manage their bookings.

It also enables tailored walker safety messaging to be shared, which is critical to planning a successful outdoor adventure.

The new system features improved functionality, making it easier for walkers to edit and cancel their registrations should their plans change, as well as up-to-date safety information about track and weather conditions.

As we move into the peak bushwalking season, we encourage hikers to use the walker registration system ahead of undertaking overnight walks in some of our most remote and pristine locations.

Walker numbers are matched to the capacity of campsites, while also considering sensitive vegetation.
