Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service (PWS) is working to improve the visitor experience in our state’s national parks and reserves, as they continue to rise in popularity.

To make it easier to find and enjoy these national parks and reserves, work is underway to plan and deliver an online booking system to access Parks products.

As part of the next phase to deliver this system, Expressions of Interest (EOI) are now open for private providers interesting in developing this new system.

Those shortlisted through the EOI process will then be invited to participate in the Request for Tender (RFT).

The Parks Online Booking System will offer a one-stop shop for all bookings and relevant information including safety messaging for each location. It will provide a seamless and enjoyable booking experience, allowing visitors to plan and manage their trip with confidence.

The new system will also provide accurate and timely data on visitation trends across our national parks and reserves, which will also assist with decision making on where to invest maintenance and capital works funds into the future.

Currently, PWS manages booking arrangements through multiple platforms, this new system will provide a streamlined booking service for both customers and PWS field centre staff.

Interested parties are encouraged to make a submission on the Tasmanian Government Tenders website.
