Discover the glow this Off Season at Mole Creek Caves

Find out more

Winter is when Mole Creek Caves truly come alive.

As part of Off Season 2026, we are offering a limited time experience that invites you to slow down, go underground and discover one of Tasmania's most fascinating natural wonders.

Our Glow Worm Gazer experience builds on our standard cave tours, offering guests extended time inside the caves to observe glow worms up close.

You'll learn about their life cycle, see larvae and silk, and spend longer basking in the soft bioluminescence that lights up the cave walls.

With fewer visitors, the caves are quieter, darker and more still, providing the perfect conditions for this unique underground experience.

As part of the tour, participants also play the role of citizen scientists, helping collect valuable information that supports the ongoing care and management of the glow worms and cave system. It's a rare opportunity to learn while contributing to conservation.

If you've ever wanted to experience Mole Creek Caves in a different way, winter is the time.

Bookings are limited. Lean into the quieter season and discover the glow.
