Call for National Parks and Wildlife Advisory Council Membership Expressions of Interest

Find out more

Do you have an interest in the management of Tasmania’s reserve estate? Is your interest supported by experience in natural resource management and a capacity to offer independent advice taking into account community views and expectations?

If so, you may be interested in submitting an expression of interest for membership to the Tasmanian National Parks and Wildlife Advisory Council.

The Council is established under the National Parks and Reserves Management Act 2002 to provide policy advice to the Minister for Parks in relation to the management of Tasmania’s parks and reserves, and to review management plans. The Council is also responsible for providing advice to the Tasmanian and Commonwealth Governments on the management of the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area.

For a copy of the information pack, including the selection criteria, please contact Eric Tierney, Executive Officer at the Parks and Wildlife Service on (03) 6165 4277 or email

Expressions of Interest must be received by close of business Monday 18 April 2022.
