The significant upgrades to facilities at larapuna/Eddystone Point are now complete.

The upgraded boat ramp, including the addition of a walkway will open on Thursday 6 June, in time for the long weekend.

Car parking facilities on site have also been upgraded to incorporate significant drainage and traffic flow improvements for both day visitors and boat trailer users.

The facility upgrades aim to improve safety and enable easier boat access.

The upgrades are part of the Tasmanian Government's $1,015,000 North East Parks and Reserves Upgrades project.

The joint project was delivered by Tasmania Parks and Wildlife Service and Marine and Safety Tasmania (MAST), with PWS committing $250,00 and MAST providing $270,000.
