Bay of Fires Masterplan

​​The Parks and Wildlife Service and Break O’Day Council have partnered to develop a Bay of Fires Master Plan. 

​The draft Plan is available for public comment from 8 April to 29 May 2026​.

A copy of the draft Plan and information on how to provide feedback is available on the Bay of Fires Masterplan website.

The Plan will deliver a high quality environmentally, economically and socially sustainable Bay of Fires experience for the next 20 years. The Plan will: 

  • improve the experience for visitors to the Bay of Fires

  • protect and enhance the natural environment and cultural values 

  • respond to the needs of the community and residents

This follows community and stakeholder engagement through 2025 to inform the draft that is available​ now.

The draft Plan reflects the feedback received from the community. It addresses issues and opportunities for the area and the corresponding vision and guiding actions.
