Sixteen new reserves for King Island
20/04/2012
As part of the ongoing Crown Land Assessment and Classification (CLAC) 16 new reserves have recently been proclaimed for King Island.
The CLAC project which began in 2004, assesses and classifies unallocated Crown land and public reserves under the Crown Lands Act 1976.

As a result of the CLAC project, 35 new reserves totaling 6,917 hectares on King Island will come under the management of the Parks and Wildlife Service.
