Planned burning program

The Parks and Wildlife Service is conducting land management burns this autumn as part of our planned burning program.

Planned burning is an important fire management tool designed to maintain biodiversity and to reduce the risk posed to natural and human assets by wildfire.

These burns will occur under suitable weather conditions and may result in temporary road and track closures. If you're in an affected area, please comply with directions from Parks and Wildlife Service staff or any signage on site.

For up-to-date details on the planned burning program this season, see our page on planned burning.
