Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area Consultative Committee (TWWHACC)

The TWWHACC was formed in 1985 to assist the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area Ministerial Council and the managing agencies, the Parks and Wildlife Service, Forestry Tasmania and the Tasmanian Aboriginal Land and Sea Council.

The Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area Consultative Committee (TWWHACC) merged with the National Parks and Wildlife Advisory Council (NPWAC) in early 2012. As a result, NPWAC now assumes the responsibilities of TWWHACC.

The Committee’s main function was to provide advice to the Tasmanian World Heritage Area Ministerial Council on matters relating to the management of the TWWHA.
